iPhone 12 Event, iOS 14 Beta 5 Release date, Fortnite and more

The past week or so there's increasingly been more information aboutthe iphone 12 the iphone 12 pro release date alongwith 

The apple event that will surround that with the keynote for exampleand so i'm going to talk about the iphone 12 as well aswhen you can expect ios 14 beta 5 and apple watch and more so i'm going tocover all of that in this blog stick around for the ios 14 part a little bitlater .

Now the first thing is apple hasannounced today that you can bundle cbs and showtimefor 9.99 per month so if you're within the apple tv app you can now bundlethose subscriptions and you can combine them so that yousave a little bit of money instead of having to pay for them separatelynow this goes along nicely with the information from mark germanthat said apple is working on a launching a bundle service called appleone google sort of does this already withsome of their services but apple will have a bundle service inthe upcoming months it looks like where .

You can bundle things like applemusic along with apple tv plus apple arcade apple news plus as well asicloud storage so it would be nice to have those typeof bundles all in one instead of paying for them individually within yoursubscriptions so hopefully apple bundles those andgives you options as well so for example if you have the twoterabyte plan like i do with apple tv or maybe others or for your icloudstorage you could bundle all of that with apple music maybe save .

A little bitof money and not have to pay multiple bills iwould really like to see them do that now alsoapple is apparently planning to launch a fitness subscription service as wellsimilar to what peloton has if you have say one of theirtheir stationary bikes or treadmills or something like that but you'd be able tomaybe access it in either a new fitness app or the activityapp and then you would have things such as workouts that you could go along withlive or maybe pre-recorded ones so that should be coming up soon as welland that seems to make sense if they're going to offer some sort of subscriptionservice to go along with apple music and all the other things now someinteresting news came out during the filming of this blog from epic gamesand .

If you're not familiar with epic gamesthey're the creators of fortnite and as you already know probablyif you don't already have fortnite installed on your device you won't beable to install it and the situation apparently is gettingworse because not only did they remove it from the app storegoogle removed it from the play store but now apple apparently has informedepic games that they're going to terminate all of their developeraccounts and cut off epic from ios and mac development toolsnow apple would generally do this in response toviolations so there's not more details than that really that i understandbut apparently they're not going to be developing for apple for quite .

Some timeunless they resolve this outside of a courtroom i supposeso it seems like fortnite is done at least for a while on ios and macbut we'll have to see what the future holds now of course on a mac they can gooutside of the mac app store they can install it differentlyand if you're on a computer you're probably using a pc anyway butfor those of you that like fortnite it's no longer going to be available and itprobably won't be back for a while now prior to the iphone 12 launch eventapparently apple has plans to announce the apple watchseparately along with the next generation ipadin .

The second week of september so instead of having anapple iphone event in that specific time range they may announce the apple watchthat could be ready by then and then apparently it will have a newo2 sensor but they may announce a new apple watchseries six along with the next generation ipadso it wouldn't be the ipad pro necessarily but the regular ipadin the second week of september and then as apple has said they're delaying thelaunch of the iphone a little bit instead of having that in september wewould likely see it in the second week of october as faras an event a virtual event or something like thatand then maybe those pre-orders for the iphone 12 andwhatever models they have so maybe the iphone 12 .

The two separate models thelower end models going for sale that week or at least for pre-order that weekshipping the following week and then if we wanted to go to the iphone 12pro models those may not come out until the followingmonth so maybe we won't see those until september sojust like many people have been saying we would see a staggered releasethroughout the year so a couple iphones in october and thena couple more in november with the pro lineupthat wouldn't be a problem for me .

I would actually welcome it of coursefor me reviewing them it would free up some time and then also give people thethe overall sense of what to expect with those particular devices whether or notthey really want to spend the extra money for the pro models or not forexample and supposedly this year all of themodels will have oled so for those that were upset about last year's iphone 11not having an oled display expect an oled on all of them .

This year now as faras production is concerned with the iphone 12last week i talked about how ming chi quo said that the lenses were facingissues as far as their surfaces or maybe them crackingfrom the manufacturer however later last week the manufacturer geniuselectrical optical refuted that statement and said that production'srunning without issues so to expect those without a problem andwe should see them on time as far as when apple announcesthem so that wouldn't surprise me at all i would definitely expect to see thoseand then finally with the iphone 12 .

Apple may be planning to release aniphone 12 in early 2021 with only 4g so maybe that would be a replacementmaybe a smaller iphone to replace the se that would just have4g lte use less power because it doesn't needthat 5g modem be less expensive again because itdoesn't include that and offer a less expensive option with maybesome higher specs so web bush securities is saying this somaybe we'll see that maybe we won't but we won't know until 2021 as far asthat goes .

Now when it comes to ios 14 beta 5 basedon what apple has done in the past you can see all of the dates here andbased on these i would really expect ios 14 beta 5 to come out tomorrowon tuesday now you may already be watching this on tuesday soexpect it on tuesday or maybe a little bit later so if we go into our calendarhere i would expect it on the 18th for thosekeeping track so we could see it later on on the 19th butbased on what we've seen before the 18th seems more likely of courseapple could change it they could even push it another week butgiven how buggy ios 14 beta 4 is i would expect ios 14 beta 5 soonerrather than later so that wouldn't surprise me at all i'msurprised in fact that they didn't push it out today butnormally they don't push them out on mondays tuesday or wednesday seems muchmore likely .

Now also to go along with those updatesapple has said that south korea should get ecg pretty soon soif you've already got the heart rate monitor and you're in south korea expectthe ecg feature fairly soon which is a really nicefeature and a nice way to measure things likeif you're having a fibrillation or things like that you can seeecg here unfortunately this is in ties with your government so yourgovernment has to approve this whatever medical regulations you havehas to approve it checking ecg and in order to update your phone or your watchrather to this update you would need toactually have a physical update they don'tgenerally do this over the air so i would expect them to have something verysoon .

I would expect it fairly soonsince apple pushed ios 13.6.1 last week to all iphones that have ios13. so i'm surprised they didn't push it outalready but expect that pretty soon for those of you that use apple musicif you want to listen to apple music anywhere you're at maybe you're at workand you can't install the music app and you want to use it youcan go to any web browser go to beta.music.apple.com and try it outand then you can listen to your music there so it's a really nice way to dothat you can do it in a vehicle if you'd like tolisten to it in a car if you have a web browser there also they've updated itwith the listen now button as opposed to foryou like they had before so you'll see it's updated from before to match ios14. 

So again it's a beta but you can useyour web browser to listen to apple music nownow apple recently filed apple original productions.comsomeone found this and found that they registered that namemeaning that they're having their own movie productions now we've already seenthis with apple tv they're already funding some of theirown movie productions with apple tv they've got their own showsof course and you can see some of the newest movies like greyhound which iactually enjoyed i know some people didn't like it but ithought it was pretty good and they have their own production so itmakes sense that they would own that name so maybe we'll see even more withthat .

Now one of the interesting pieces of news that i thought was a littledifferent this week has to do with apple working on virtualreality now we know they've been working onaugmented reality and that may be for future versions ofthe phone as well as apple glass where you can sort of place things aroundthe room maybe arrange a room and see what your furniture looks like in iti've used it a little bit with different appsand it's an interesting way to use your phone but apple's been working on thatwith glasses but also they've been working onvirtual reality and a new patent revealed 

This week shows that they'vebeen working on virtual reality in cars to help with motion sickness now ifyou've ever used a vr headset like an oculus quest for example youknow that certain games can make people feel very sick or become very nauseatedwhen they're using it and so in my experience it doesn'thappen too often but apparently if you were using thisin motion with a car maybe you were in an automated vehicleand you were wearing a headset that could make you feel very sick and sothey've come up with some algorithms or movementwith sensors in the car that would help you not feel as sick when doing thati'm not sure .

If this would be for virtual reality or augmented reality orboth but it's just something that'sinteresting and apple has been working onand has patented now apple is still working on their silicon max and i knowa lot of people keep asking me when to expect theseand really you should only expect maybe a macbook air or something smaller amore lightweight later this year apple could surprise us of coursebut i don't think we'll see any of the high-end pro products until maybe nextyear so apple said a two-year developmentcycle with the apple silicon max with their own chips to replace intel forexample i would expect maybe something light atthe end of the year i would love to see somethinghigher end .

But it's hard to say what they're going to do based onthe current information with them delaying iphones and things like thatthat's it for this week's news hopefully we'll see more about the iphone 12in the next coming weeks i look really forward to that with a final release ofios 14 probably in late september early octoberi would imagine when we have at least some idea of whatthe next iphones are capable of and then apple shows us ios 14.
