A YouTube channel is like a YouTube profile. Just like we create a profile on Facebook or Twitter, opening a channel on YouTube means creating a YouTube profile.

After creating a YouTube channel, you will have the name of a channel and through that channel name or profile you will be able to upload your own videos to YouTube and show them to people. People will be able to go to your channel and watch all the videos you have uploaded.

To create a channel on YouTube, you first need a Google Gmail account. Hey, YouTube is a service or product of Google and so you will need a Gmail ID to signin or login to YouTube.

So now we know the process of creating a channel on YouTube step by step.

1. Login or signin on YouTube

First of all you have to go to the YouTube website. Go to the YouTube website and you will see a link called "sign in" at the very top right. You click on that signin button.

2. Login with your gmail account


Now go to YouTube and click on Sign in, you will see a web page where you will be asked to login with your Google or Gmail account Id and password. As I said before, YouTube is a service of google company and so you need to use your own gmail account to login to YouTube.

As you can see in the picture above, your computer or laptop screen will appear and you will need to type your Gmail ID and password directly and click on the “Next” button.

 3. Create a YouTube channel


After logging in to YouTube with your Gmail account ID and password, you will be logged in to YouTube dashboard.

Now you need to open the channel first by clicking on the small “profile icon” at the top right of the YouTube dashboard. You can see the picture below to know better.

Now, after clicking on the YouTube profile icon, you will see some options. In these options, directly click on the “My channel” option.

Now, after clicking on the My channel option, you will see a YouTube page showing “Use YouTube as” and two small boxes below it.In those little boxes you have to write the name for your channel.

I mean, as you can see in the picture above, we have written "NUR Editing" in the box. Because we wanted to name our YouTube channel Bangla Technology.

So, just type the name of your channel in the two boxes you want to enter and click on "Create Channel" below.

Congratulations, look straight at your channel has been created and you can now edit your channel, design or upload videos to it.

After clicking on Create channel, you will see two options on the next page. One is "Creator studio" and the other is "Customize channel".

You can customize your YouTube channel by going to the Customize channel option. This means that you can add and update profile pictures, background images (Channel art), descriptions, about things to your channel.

You can make a variety of settings for your channel by going to the Creator studio option. For example, channel settings, video manager, how many subscribers are in your channel, how many views have been seen in the video.

If you go to these two options yourself, you will understand what you can do with the options. Customize channel and Creator studio Click on the profile icon at the very top right of the YouTube dashboard to switch between these two options. In this you will see creator studio option.

If you want to go to the Customize channel option, then go to creator studio and click on “View channel”.
